Kuiper en Zonen was asked to supply the boilers for a large brewery in Kilinto (Ethiopia).

For this project, we supplied two reconditioned steam boilers of 14 t/h with a 12 barg concession pressure. These boilers are suitable for both light and heavy oil.

The total delivery included:

• A deaerator for a capacity of 42 t/h at a 12 barg concession pressure
• A heater set for heavy oil
• A complete PLC control system for the entire system, including remote engineer (for remotely controlling the installation)
• A free-standing, 25 m high flue
• A spray tank for two boilers

The entire installation was first built in Ede, where it also underwent a test run. The installation was then disassembled and the components were packed in four 40 ft containers. The boilers were then packed and made seaworthy before being shipped on flatracks.

The installation was transported to Kilinto, where the individual components were reassembled. A lot of work was carried out on site, including the installation of oil and steam lines, laying cables, etc. The installation was put into operation and configured correctly.

The installation was ready for use in the 3rd quarter of 2014.
